I dont own a 2.2l ( got a 2.0L) but i do know that if its an automatic RS you should easily beat it. I Had a standard one and i got smoked by my friends 04 RSX-S. If you guys can keep up with an rsx-s. Then you should be able to beat the camaro, especially if its auto.

95-02 200hp 225lbs-ft 3.8L
I still have my doubts about a 3800 V6 Camaro though. I have road tests and they say the 2.2L goes down.

a bad driver would make it all the more possible
I could see it with a good driver in the 2.2
Z24 get that video up I'd like to see it

Or given the same driver--you say a 2.2L can beat a 3800 A4 Camaro?
Has anyone even got a 2.2L into the 15's yet?

Im going april 22nd to byron dragway. I'm going to see what mods I can get by then, and see how I pan out there
I might be late in this conversation but this is my opinion...
Cobalt should win if he can drive well
1. Camaro weighs significantly more
2. V6 Versions are usually underpowered compared to what they are equipped with (meaning not enough power for the vehicles they put them in)
3. Automatic Transmission = More drivetrain loss. So on top of being underpowered, he's losing more power to the wheels than a manual version would
4. RWD losses more power to the wheels than FWD vehicles

How do youu measure "underpowered". A 3800 V6 Camaro makes 225lbs-ft of torque. Thats more then the S/C SS.
Check out the hp to weigh ratio.
2800/145= 19.3lbs per hp for a Cobalt
3400/200= 17lbs per hp for the Camaro.
Magazines got 7.7 to 60mph with an auto 3800 Camaro
You other points are valid.
I will say even the 2.2L should have more top end pull then the 3800--it could make gains there.
