thats exactly what i have in my car, 1st gen with 8000k, didnt have a plug n play harness tho. Probably i keep having is theres a signal issue and when its suppose to be running daytime lights, only 1 light comes on, i have to hit my high beams on then off, then the HID light comes on. Let me know if you have that same issue. Probably wont but ya never know

are they just a really bright bulb for the stocker?

Cause I have silverstars in now which are crap, had 80w/100watts in, great for up close but no distance.

I need something that I can actually see with when I'm on the highway!

I hear the nighthawks are great.

the H.I.D. are illegal and its not just a bulb but a kit and such it does make it brighter and longer in distance. I just use my highbeams on the highway (cept for any reason illegally to reason them) and they work great, seeing as you have the g5 and I think its only one bulb both for high and low its just a matter of trying different bulbs to see what you like best.

Are they 100% from the book illegal? I'm pretty sure it depends on how bright they are. I have 8000k, had multiple people pull over so i would pass them because my lights **** them off but never got a ticket. I even drove behind cops and nothing. Correct me if im wrong but i believe pykie got some tickets for his 10,000k tho, like i said i think its the brightness

okay I'm lost are these plug and play or do you have to gut your stock headlight bucket to put these in? Any chance of a pic? I have an idea of what these are, and if they are what I'm thinking then I'd be interested.
