Description: I am one of the participants in the TVS group buy, sponsored by Over the Top Performance. Originally, I had every intention on taking the pay-ment plan route, waiting for the next shipment of blowers to come and pay the items off in full, but I found out I'm being laid off from my job at the end of this month.

I've talked to OTTP, and for obvious reasons, I can't pull out of this group buy and get my $340 non-refundable deposit back. I had a buyer lined up for my spot, but they also refuse to transfer any names in the group buy. At this point, I can't take almost a full weeks pay hit when I have nothing lined up in terms of work. If someone buys, then I'll only loose $150. Much easier to deal with than $340.

So, instead, I'm selling off the whole kit. I DO NOT currently have this in my possession, OTTP is shooting for shipment of the next round in about a month or so. How this would work, is you send me the money I'll pay off OTTP, and send you the kit THE SAME DAY it reaches me. I WILL NOT open the package. Just take it straight to the post office and get rid of it, or we can meet up and hand off in person.

You cannot get into the group buy for this anymore for $2,550 shipped. You wont find a lower price on this kit as far as I know. This is a fantastic opportunity to take advantage of their group buy.

You will be given my name, phone number, and address before I receive payment so we have full communication between each other. If you send payment via pay-pal, then I must ask for an additional 3% to cover pay-pal's fee's. I will then pay-off OTTP, and let you know when to expect the kit.

Well, if I can't sell it this way, then I simply don't pay for the rest of the kit and I'm out the $340. I caulk it up for more bad luck. *shrugs*

Well, Josh just let me know that I'm not locked into the kit, so I can sell JUST the blower if need be as well.

$1,650 shipped for the blower alone, or $2,400 for the kit. I already have a buyer interested up in Michigan, just awaiting a deposit on it... so this may already be sold.

Since I've had a few more PM's regarding this...

-The price is dead-set firm. I wont go any lower. At all. Period.
-I will not part out the kit. Either I sell just the TVS or just the kit.
-I can't take pictures, as I do not have it. Everyone in the GB is waiting on the next shipment from OTTP

 

I have a general question.

Right now you are saying that if you sell just the TVS @ $1650 that you will lose out on $150. And the $1650 price is firm.

But if you don't sell the TVS you will then be out $340. Right?

So are you saying that you would rather not work out a better price with someone and be out $340? You could still work out a deal that would only put you out $200 or $250 or even $300. That is still better then $340.

Set aside your $340 deposit and your break even price is $1460. Maybe a different approach would be to start at that price and work your way up. You obviously would not go any lower then $1460 because then you would be losing more money. Maybe go back to those who are interested and start at $1500. Then see if anyone is interested at $1550. And so on.

IDK. This whole economy sucks. Every day more and more people get laid off. What Barack is doing is not going to help anything short term and is only going to make things worse in the long run.

Well, I may work with someone in that sense, but I've gotten several VERY low offers... from 1k-1.4k. I was namely addressing the 5+ folks that made those types of offers.

Ideally, $150 is the max I want to loose. anything above that, I consider taking my time to ship, meet up with someone, ect ect a waste. Brand new they're around... $1,900 I think? $1,800 currently with the group buy. I don't see anyone getting it cheaper than $1,650 anytime soon... not to mention I'm including shipping within that so I'll still loose a bit more there.

 

oh goodness i just may have to go into debt for this... im mulling it over hard. so do you have a round-about timeframe on when u will get the tvs

OTTP should be sending it in about a month, month and a half. They're keeping us updated in the GB thread i posted up.

yea man im a union carpenter and i work at a BP refinery and they are taking advanage of us hard. they know that thats the only big place for union work right now so that are milkin us hard. we cant do anything abuout it either cuz they will just find someone else to do out work. sucks! well im super interested but im kinda in the same boat so ill just keep ya posted. just keep me in the back of your mind
