I KNOW this has been asked before but it is taking me forever to search through the threads so instead I figured I would get an answer quicker just by making a thread. So I have the stock rims for my 07 SS/SC...I am pretty positive that I have read you can go wider...so if I can what size should I run for my new tires...225/45/18 OR 225/40/18? I know stock is 215/45/18 just want a little wider of a tire...well cause it is wider  thanks in advanced guys :twothumbs

Nope but they should still fit. I think thats the stock tire size for the SS/TC.

225/40/18's. 225/45/18's are too tall and some people have had problems with them rubbing.

I run 225/45/18. Love how they fit, Had rubbing issues just pushed the plastic within the wheel well in and that took care of it.

I've run 225/45/18 and 235/40/18. both were fine as far as fit, but the 235s were even more of a bitch to get off the wheel when they were done. I'm back on 215s now, got a deal on a set.
