need help

i was comming home today and I lost most the power from my engine and my engine light is on the screen it said engine power reduced. and theres no leaks. do anyone know what is wrong with it

do you have cai if so probally got water on the maf sensor. it will put it in limp mode. wait a day or go to autovalue and they will clear out the code. after the car should run fine.

cold air intake

Also double check all your connections in your engine as much as possible, make sure nothing is loose or it could throw your car into limp mode.

no i don't have cold air intake but it sounds like a dirt bike but its not like it when you start it it happens in secound gear at about 2000 rpms and then when i turn the car off and start it again it starts like normal

Its not a common problem but back when it seemed like performance mods cause this.
I also remember reading that a GM reflash would help cure this from happening again.
Seemed like the 05s were more prone to it.
I have never experienced it but it is a failsafe on these cars for some reason.
If you have it home, pull the battery cables and try it in the morning.

it also could have something to do with the battery connections / power of the battery, i had this happen once

thanks for the help guys. i went out today and got a car reader and i got a p2228 code barometric pressure sensor circuit low voltage and p0068 throttle body airflow preformance
