got my injen intake Q!!
I heard end of Jan to early to mid Feb is old style... after that new style.... I got the new style (made in March) and it was still a PITA.... HINT: leave the little rubber spacer thingy off and just use the nut and washer to bolt the intake to the stock stud sticking out. The filter won't rub the bumper then....
Oh yeah and LEAVE EVERYTHING LOOSE UNTIL ITS ALL IN THEN TIGHTEN!!!!

does the intake hang lower then the stock one? because my father was telling me that it looks like it might hang lower and might have a problem with it sucking up water:S
all cold air intake pose a threat of sucking up water dont drive in and local ponds, lakes, pools, etc you'll be fine..... they also sell drychargers which is like a condom for you intake filter it is super resistant to water and will not allow alot to go in at once! i got one with my K&N awesome stuff.....

No you would have to be going through 12+ inches of water (and slow at that) to have it suck water. I don't think it has enough "suck" to suck a gulp of water in the first place. The filter sits in the same place as stock....

EDIT: Here's the linkage http://www.injen.com/hydroshield.html

Here was there reply:
If you are having problems fitting the intake, we can send you a
replacement.
Here are your options for the exchange.
1) you can ship us the old intake (just the pipe) after we receive it and
inspect it, we can then issue a replacement.
2) you can leave a $50 deposit, we will then send you a replacement. Once
you return the old pipe we will refund you the deposit.
I opted for option 2.
There response was very quick I'd shoot them an email asap.

Injen allows you to keep your current Injen intake system on while they ship you the new pipe. When they get the old one back they refund you the $50 that they had you put a deposit down on. They pay the shipping for the new pipe and send a return tag for the old pipe. So in the end you are not out any money and you can have your car running non stop....
I think Injen did a great thing by stepping up and fixing any issues. They are not making you pay anymore for somthing you already purchased.
Email us if you need any help, all returns must be made through Injen for this defective pipe....
