I would love to run mine on a dynojet. The dyno I ran on had my car at 236 wrtq stock while most dynojet numbers for a stock TC seem to be 250-260 wtrq. stock. That is a 10% difference. What matters to me is that I have 96 whp and 94 wtrq over stock. Dynos are tuning tools not precision measuring devices. I need to find a dynojet near me.

Your torque seems about right on, but ever other TC I've seen makes more TQ than HP (at least on a dynojet LOL) ;) I think that dyno is a bit wierd, we need to get you on a Dynojet ASAP!!!! :D

My stock numbers were 242 whp and 236 wtrq stock. I dont think the dyno I ran on is very happy seeing as Matt M got 242 whp and 242 wtrq stock on a Mustang dyno. The other thing is that not all dynojets are the same. Some are load cell some are the standard models. I believe I would make more peak torque and about the same if not a few more HP on a dynojet. The dyno I ran on is loaded (we had it at 20% load for optimum tuning) like a mustang dyno. I believe that is why even stock I had absolutely no torque spike around 3500. ALL of the stock TC dynos I have seen except mine are making 250-260 wtrq at around 3500rpms. Mine peaked at 236 wrtq. at 4500rpms.

The reason my peak HP is so good is because my car still makes 300 wtrq at 6K rpms most other dyno sheets I have seen the torque drops off much more rapidly than mine.

See thats the wierd thing, the reason all the other ones drop off is because we are running out of turbo up there, just strange thats all ;) I'd really like to see what it does on a dynojet for comparison :D

See the power drop off on the stock vs tuned graph? The car cannot breathe up there because of the restriction in the intake, chargepipes, and exhaust. There are really not many changes between my tune since I had it installed with all the stock parts. It moves a ton more air up high now, almost 38 lbs/min at 6400 rpms.

http://img19.imageshack.us/img19/720/davidsaep.jpg

Same dyno not the same power drop off anymore. It holds 249 Kpa all the way to 6800 rpms currently.

I'm cresting 38lbs as well at the top on some runs, pressure drops off significantly but flow goes up (Assuming I'm just plain running out of turbo there) I need to see my log to see how much I've got up there but I dont think its anywhere near 240 LOL

Yeah I'm in the 220's up top how in the hell are you still getting that much pressure that high!? If you dont mind sharing your tune that would be great or at least the DAL I cranked mine up and didnt really see any change (hence my suspicion about being out of turbo)

If you are flowing 38lbs/min up top the pressure should not be dropping that much more flow equals more pressure or at least the same pressure. I believe the lowest it goes is 245 kpa right at the rev limit. IDK how I am holding boost so well.

It demonstrates power bands and gives people a general idea of what to expect from certain performance mods. This is not the bible so dont take it so seriously.

Hey T2 your dyno shows 334 not 338 ... Also, SAE is lower then STD.... Get your numbers straight.....

You must have a bigger turbine wheel or ported turbo and throttle body to be making 334 whp.....

Yeah black08SS has 281 whp stock, my ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Total BS.......Dyno-pac dynos do not count when you take your 70+ lbs worth of front wheels off the car...

That was my forth pull back to back with the stock intercooler and it was pretty warm out. IAT2 was 130+ on that run and the ECM was pulling timing up top compensate for the high IAT2s. That is why I lost 4whp. Big deal. I show you proof and yet you still cry like a baby. My turbo has nothing done to it why cant you get that through your thick skull. There is some more power there. Once I get my intercooler on, I am going to have some intake and exhaust cam angle changes and some more fine tuning done. You really need to think before you post. Remember TCs dont have Brembos GM was just committing trademark infringement.. 35W HIDs are brighter than 50W.. You need to go back to school or get you head examined.
Oh, and a ported throttle body on LNF is a big no no because the ECM calculates the pressure drop over the area of the throttle body. If you mess with its diameter you will screw up the reading and your car will run like crap. Just like porting a MAF.

The only shop i know of that uses a dyna pack is synapse turbo. It seems to read pretty true. 240 whp and 260 wtrq stock is what many TCs make. I made 236 wtrq stock so what. You need to get this mass and inertia thing out of you head. The dyno is calibrated to account for the 48 lbs less rotating mass, and even if it is not. It would have a very small influence on the readings. If I install lighter wheels on my car and dyno it I am not going to gain a measureable amount of Hp from that get real.

Man you made more Hp on that mustang dyno than most make on a dynojet. Very happy mustang dyno. You made almost 15 whp and 15 wtrq more than I made stock on a dynocom which is a load type dyno too. It is all good though. See what you gain with the tune.

That is for wideband readings. Its call a tail pipe sniffer.

Can you provide proof to back that up? I have proof that proves that statement wrong.

The tailpipe sniffer on the dyno I always run on is within .1 of my the wideband on my car. And that is probably because my WB is before the cat and their sniffer is post cat.

i said not always the most accurate. i have seen them run as much as +/- .6 off which in tuning can give you bad numbers.

i have nothing against them, i actually really like having them and the shop near me is within +/- .1 but i dont have a cat. pretty much its saying make sure youre going to a good shop with good equipment

You can add our LNF dyno. The one posted above was 400whp sae. That was the smoothest pull, so we posted that graph. Mods include ZZP turbo conversion kit with S256ET turbo, custom intake, stock IC and tubing, open cutout.

Also, we recently dyno'd our 2.4 turbo setup along with 78lb valvesprings and ZZP 3" catback at 352whp sae.

lol i don't get it ? lol but yea i'm pretty happy with it.. after thinking about it .. me thinks I need a bigger exhaust.. right now the tsudo is a 2.25 lol ... getting a bigger exhaust might get me a few extra HP as well as reduce some pressure so it would be running at even less psi.. that'll be roflriffic lol

STOP YELLING lol .. nah but seriously man i have a 2.95 .. 2.55. and 2.25.. really though i think my mission is to make it breath the best.. cams and head work new exhaust.. setup.. i think i can hit 300 whp off this pulley with head work and a higher rev limiter .. it's going to be expensive .. but the car will love it when i pulley down anyway. so lets do it :D

we're going to mess with some more stuff .. see how it goes ... i need a clutch first lol .. glad i could get some bitching numbers for the setup :twothumbs

With my current setup I dyno'd 255whp/220tq on a mustang dyno. The main mods right now are GM Stage 2 with a 2.9" pulley, Vibrant header/dp, GMPP Sport exhaust, Injen CAI all still on a GMS2 tune (which sucks).

yeah, mine isn't the greatest tune ither, you can still see the nasty pit at the top of the power curve. if i could get out to washington for a dyno tune session with vince im almost certain i could reach 270whp no problem. expecially when we retuned and gained 60whp where the difference of the 2 pits are at.

Right on the money Matt, we had to knock boost down prior to 4K, i have the K04+ turbo, with all the bolt-ons except for water/meth, which is coming soon. I had tuning done by shop nearby BTFs to which Rick was only able to help out over the phone. My tune took a hit, but he just emailed me stating he's getting his full chasis dyno up and running within the next week. So once the water/meth kit shows up im going to take a 4 hour trip up his way and get properly tuned. Hoping 350FWHP and 370FWTQ

Yes, no dual pass and a tiny heat exchanger. I'd say heat soak killed your power. If the cam timing was off a few teeth it would probably run like dog shit, if it even started at all without nailing the valves into the pistons. If someone got the cams in there wrong then they were DELIBERATELY trying to lol. It's not hard at all.

damn you can tell the difference with the 2.2 and 2.4. i have a 3" pulley on my 2.2 and got 225 hp.

thats why i went turbo w/ 10psi and dyno'd at 258.9 whp w/ a flawed tune on my 2.2. the tune has since been fixed. just waiting to get back to dyno it again and see where its at, should be over 260whp now. i wouldnt be surprised if i came close to 270whp

I have stated before, until they PM me or post in this thread, it doesn't go up, I am not going to be drama filled like the drag time thread. The only way you are getting on is if you post your slip. I am not asking for anything more then that. Note I am not trying to sound like a dick but I don't ask for videos etc. I know what you should be running, roughly. So a bolt on 2.2 that makes 275hp is wrong. :cssNET:

I was just bumping the thread so people could see it and post their results.

It is up to them if they want to add their info like you said.

yes. I have been doing header testing and they are going to produce different numbers. As they go up, I will repost on here, unless you would rather a pm to keep this from getting cluttered.

I had my car dyno'ed on a Dyno Dynamics before which you have listed...now I re-did the stock dyno with a Dynojet hoping they'd be closer to what I think they should be (they may be a little high now, but oh well..it's what the dyno tells me...don't have the graph though).

125whp and 124wtq on dynojet for my 07 Cobalt LS.

Will make sure to get a graph next time I go (will have intake, header, dp, cat-back, tune).
