my wastegate keeps fluttering so im messing with it until i get it right...it keeps ******* up the tuning process...somehow it trips the ecu for it to pull timing and causes some not so nice things to happen

my wastegate when it builds boost it tends to flutter...my bov sounds like it flutters but its on its low setting..i kinda like the flutter bov sound...lol

 

Cool, well hope you get it figured out. Finally a custom boosted 2.2l turbo build that is running, lol... So many give up before they get the prize, lol.... Your inspiring me, i think i might make a thread on my build, i was afraid it might jinx me and i'd never complete the build, but i'm to far into it to stop now anyhow....

 

yea i un threaded the wastegate actuator about 5 turns and it almost fixed the flutter...the problem is that the actuator is to tight which is causing it to spkie or flutter...which makes some not so nice things happen with the ecu such as pulling timing and stuff...not too nice

 

When you say, not to nice, does it spike boost and go lean, or go into limp mode, spark knock, missfire, buck and jerk,lol...? Not to nice, what's that mean ?Just wondering

 

it spikes boost and goes a bit lean.....and it also bucks and jerks makes a brubrubrubru sound...not nice...as well as pullling timing which sometimes it does some pinging and clanking

what brand wastegate are you running? sounds like you're having issues from a shitty gate.. honestly i wouldn't have been pushing it untill I got that issue fixed but i'm not going to get on you for that since you might be shitted on as it is
