Hey my name is sam(biohazard) from Team JDF and i am plannign a meet for april 15th for pretty much whoever wants to come but mostly will be J/D body GM's. Post replies here right away about the bowling situation so i can reserve.

Ok so i figured this out and here is what im going with for the april meet


Date: April 15th (saturday)
Time: 6 p.m.
Where:

At 6 well start meeting at white castle, ill be there closer to 530 if anyone wants to meet up with me earlier, Ill be hanging out by my car and if it gets too crouded like last time we can go over to another parkinglot like Lifetime.

May I suggest something. Talk to Eric (Nightmare). I have spoken to him about planning a meet in May near Aurora. Bill Hahn has been invited and wants to come, and will be bringing out some HRC's project cars.

You are welcome to put together an April meet, but I still would like to see the May meet.

Also, we had some bad luck with your location on our last meet. The Lifetime fitness parking lot was the only one with space available at that time on a Saturday night, and the management did not appreciate our being there. Like I said, talk to Eric, he knows all about it.

not to sound like a dick but as do i, i was there. Eric and jen are busy with the incomming child and because of a meet comming up in april dosent mean may wont work. other people on the team (JDF) are fine with this so lets just see what happens, please dont respond unless its saying that you can make it so we dont get repeats like " o ill still go" but ya the meet is still on, i just need like 24 ppl to reserve lanes

lol also lifetime wont do anything to our cars, theresd also a giant ass movie theatre

^agreed, im more into seeing cars and talking cars considering this whole thing is about our cars, not to into the whole "see some cars real quick then go bowling the rest of the night" idea. count me out

if u can pitch me an idea besides bowling like by tonihgt... plus eating and bowling are 3 hours apart..... is there somewhere we could just cruiz to or something, i wanted u 2 to come the most so work with me

well i probably wont be there anyways because it is a far drive for me and i probably will have work, but for future reference, we can always hang out in a parking lot...maybe sounds dumb but have our own mini car show and just chill like that...i know halfcent always has new stuff to talk about and i like learning and i like cars, and it doesnt cost anything :) we could all cruise for a little bit thats ALWAYS fun, which very rarely ever happens. just some ideas

wut if we hung out in the movie theatre first looking at our cars and sht, for like an hour and 1/2 then eat and then u can go bowling if u wan tor not go but ull hang out and look at cars longer? plz guys

Cruising around on the highway, at like noon-5 anywhere in there where it is light out. Is intensily fun :D. But no one ever does that :(. I like going to meets, but the other stuff gets borring.

If you definitely want to put together an April meet, here are my suggestions.

Earlier in the day
A lot where we won't be asked to leave
A location closer to Chicago (Lake in the Hills is just about as far away as you can get)
A planned cruise route so we can actually drive

The last meeting was fun because it was a combination of the first get together of the season and Erics Birthday. Doing the same thing again just wouldn't be as fun.

i think a meet, eat and cruize would be a lil more fun, but w/e

or if its super nice out, by midway airport would be cool. Street called Archer were all the cars cruize, and then usually race about 5 min from there.
TONS Of empty parking lots, lots of food, and chicago cops are cool, and wont kick us out, and if they do their nice about it and we just go some were else. plus my dads a chicago cop, so i might be able to drop his name.

next one that i set up will be in orland park, there is a lot to do in orland and tons of places to meet up and chill and eat...and i already know a decent cruise route that you can usually find other tuners on also

i like naperville! its not that far for me, there is a huge mall in naperville called fox valley and all kinds of restaurants and stuff to go to around there, great roads to cruise on also, its on rt 59 there is everything on that road. and the 22nd is fine also, the longer you give people to take work off the more that will show up

hmm no, i know its off of rt 59 in naperville though, or maybe its aurora, not sure the exact address but its right in between the two. ill search for it, i can find the address to the joes crab shack that is right in the drive by the mall there.

sounds good to me, the mall is pretty big so you might wanna pick a certain spot to meet at, thats why i was saying joe's so everyone knows where to meet, or else the first person there pick a spot thats in plain view for other people to see in the mall parking lot, and then start a new thread with the address and times and stuff and start a list of whos gonna be there

no i dont know it that good actually, just someone pick a spot thats wide open, whoever is there first, and everyone else can circle the mall and find them, just be in plain sight not parked in with other cars

that sounds tough, not to be a bitch but i can picture like 2 or 3 balts at the same time parkign in diff spots and we all have diff gorups and dont knwo were all on the other side, well meet at joes until we got enough ppl then well all go over and othe rppl will be able to find like 5 of us better than like 2

Having worked for Gurnee Mills Mall security a few years, security at malls are real touchy about groups gathered around cars in the parking lots. Might want to find a location other than the malls lot, OR give them a call make it official sounding; "Car group so and so would like to park in one of your lots and spend money at your mall ......etc. etc."

I agree with Arrowslinger, clear it with the mall and I think we could actually NOT GET KICKED OUT! Whenever it's official, you can count on seeing my big ass there!
