Tire fitment ??

This past Saturday I purchased Tenzo DC-5 Version 1 wheels for my car.

The guy from discount tire's clearly stated that I did not need tires for these sets of wheels. Knowing that the Tenzo DC-5 wheels are 18x8 and the stock Pirelli are 18x7. I told him that if if I need to buy tires I'll buy them and he said that am ok with the stock tires. Am a little bit worried about safety issues being that the tire might be to stretched. Anybody has this same setup in their car?

Thanks for your help

According to the specs they fit on 7 - 8" wheels with 7" being the recommended size.

Check out the specs here: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Spec.j...irePageLocQty=
