Help with figuring out my rough idle and misfire situation

My car has been misfiring alot lately and getting a really rough idle. This morning I changed out the fuel filter, reset the pcm, and added a bottle of lucas fuel treatment to the car. There was an improvment and the car is healthier running now but the issues are still there. At idle the car shakes, and my gauges will sometimes dim a little at idle. The spark plugs are gapped at 0.030 right now and are about a year old. I heard that copper plugs wear out quick but I didnt think it would be this quick which is why I am reluctant to change them out though it seems like the most logical next step since I dont have acess to any data logging software. Anyone else have idea's?

check the o-ring on the coils. I was missing one, and it was causing my misfires. only took me 6 mo to figure that out!

Water intrusion maybe? Look for water around the spark plugs -- there is a factory bulletin out for water causing a rough idle.

Yeah, for the most part the car runs fine at other than idle

last time i checked my plugs they didnt look wet at all. do you know whats causing the water?

just cleaned it about 8 months ago, i guess i could check it again, I do want to still flush my coolant and change my oil since when it was snowing a few months ago i lost a quart of coolant somewhere and after i refilled it it stayed ever since then but I was runnign the car really hard when it happend. I'm also gonna have to check my air filter. I think a failing fuel pump may also be a possiblity.

anyone know of a better plug I could be using, Im not too happy that these plugs barely lasted a year if they end up being the problem. When I looked at them they didnt seem fouled up and black, just normal usage to me but maybe something i cant see went wrong with them.

Were new plugs recently released? Because when I did mine last time, the LE5 was still new-er. So there weren't many options..

are those the same heat range as stock? Ive been thinking that the 1 step colder I have might not be neccesary.

Just make a new thread for your issue. New thread is always better to make.

i have everthing dyno tune, was model specific and had good reviews for the balt so got all that. used it for a while no problems then was doin a 60 roll hit it over 3500 and let off before redline then got on it again over 3500 after about 3 seond heard a click or something and lights started goin off and i let off then ulled off the road and 2 spark plugs were fowled and put the old ones back in and its only runnin on 3 cylinders. checked to see if they were all arkin and they were and checked if i could see any burned holes in the top of the pistons and there werent and did a ghetto compression test with my hand and the one feels a little low but havnt done a real one yet

wet shot

i picked up a new o-ring at the hardware store. it's bound to happen if you're swapping new plugs in often. especially during tuning phase, i fried quite a few plugs. that o-ring is a sneaky little bastard.

if you go to the dealer they claim the o-ring is part of the coil and your are SOL and need to buy a new coil. ****'em i say.
