My new R33!!!!

So yeah i just bought a Skyline R33. it was shipped into canada then driven over the border for me so i did not have to worry about getting it through customs. i picked up the car in Montana. then i had to drive it 20 hours back to Wisconsin. it was a fun drive i got to learn how to drive a right hand drive car pretty quick. i had the car for 30 minutes and got a ticket for doing 104mph.... the cop let me off light by not looking into what kinda car i was driving and he just wrote me a $70 ticket for speeding.

the car is back home now... i love it, its not a GTR but itdoes have a RB25det motor... and HICAS which was rare from nissan, a electronic 4 wheel steering. very fun and very fast

here are some pics

Beautiful car man, I am very very jealous...

did you have it set up that way so you wouldn't have to have it shipped to the States or did you buy it from someone in Canada that already had shipped over? BTW, if you don't mind me asking what is a ball park figure for what you payed?

You are very lucky to own one, congrats man

well i would rather not share what i payed lol... i got a good deal, but they range from 20-25 grand.... for that model (non GTR) plus you still have to get it legalised, if you can even find a way to get it done it cost big bucks

my buddy was sitting in the left seat and was acting like he was driving and then acted like he was jerking the wheel when we were next to someone on the highway, and the guy freaked out it was so funny

don't know anything about these cars so forgive my ignorance....

why not the r34? too much of a pop-culture following and would have been too expensive/hard to find?

and whats the potential of the r33 vs. other later models?

nice car though, it'll definitely get some looks for originality on the street.

well i didnt have 100 grand sitting around for a nice R34..... this was a fraction.... they are both very hard to legalise...... but engine wise some set up for the most part... R34, and R33 both can have the RB26.... so you can do the same things with them

Nice ride man, my friend has a 89 Fairlady Z Twin Turbo. He wanted a r33 himself but got a good deal on the Z and bought that instead.
