Alignment or not?

I have a 06 Cobalt LS with the stock 15" steelies and Im looking to get these http://www.wheelsnext.com/product.phtml?p=2047 I like them, Im not asking for ur opinion on them. I called the company up and they do fit. What I want to know is if I will need a alignment or not? I have heard of some people getting an alignment done once them get some rims but I have heard that others dont. So if u have some aftermarket rims, did u get a alignment done?

later

also i have read up on the whole wheel gap and lowering and also getting some 215/40/17 tires to fill the gap.

i aligned .... ive got 18's and dropped it 2.5 and about 3 or 4 in back. i also threw a camber kit on. You dont need to aligne but its a good idea, especially after lowering. W/ just rims and tires it should be fine but i reccomend it if u have the $$

I'm getting sportlines, but I wanted to go more race than show, and I dont think the car would be very functional if it was lowered that much

its very functional, i weigh like 250 and can jump on the doorsil and it wont bottem, i can rock it and everyhting wont bottem out, it feels like its on rails and i dont have any subframe bracing, strut, or sway bars...... very good performance springs, noone has the ***** to try em though because of the fact 1... their like $120, and 2 TenzoR.. ill even admit it sounds like something for a ricer car

That tire size very closely matches your stock size. Less than 2% difference. Do you need an alignment? No. But considering how costly your new tires are, spend the little bit of dough and get it done.

that way you can go back to them after each season
