HunterKiller89 04-18-2009, 04:13 PM best sounding header IMO. great flow, no issues, and a very cheap price if you keep the options down. Rodimus_Prime 04-18-2009, 06:40 PM Clear Image is a better choice KyleMinnis 04-18-2009, 06:50 PM but the clear image one you still have to buy a down pipe..the zzp setup is a bit cheaper... bump for more opinions:) ?? stoon_cobalt_colby 04-18-2009, 06:56 PM this summer im getting midlength zzp with catless dp cheapest with the best sound i heard so far and some nice gains KyleMinnis 04-18-2009, 07:11 PM ^^ehh im in california id get butt raped if i was catless:/ and i heard it gets a bit "raspy" when you go catless...??? Rodimus_Prime 04-18-2009, 07:12 PM its cheaper for a reason KyleMinnis 04-18-2009, 07:25 PM understandable. shadowfaxss 04-18-2009, 08:46 PM There are people that have had problems with the combo but the issues have been put to bed. I really have no complaints about mine. jaycope 04-19-2009, 11:25 AM So how should I build this? If I go catless it'll throw a CEL so how would I avoid that? HunterKiller89 04-19-2009, 03:49 PM ...umm....add a cat? thought that one was self explanatory jaycope 04-19-2009, 06:19 PM ...umm....add a cat? thought that one was self explanatory A lot of people go catless is there any advantage or disadvantage to having a cat? stoon_cobalt_colby 04-19-2009, 06:55 PM So how should I build this? If I go catless it'll throw a CEL so how would I avoid that? get hp tuner to remove 02 rear sensor i think WVsuperSS 04-19-2009, 06:58 PM add a high flow cat? dman090 04-19-2009, 06:59 PM get hp tuner to remove 02 rear sensor i think i thought HPT doesnt work with 2.2s? stoon_cobalt_colby 04-19-2009, 10:21 PM shit maybe not i just know thats what im doing to my 2.0 i wasnt aware that u couldnt use it on 2.2 dam that sucks HunterKiller89 04-20-2009, 12:40 AM A lot of people go catless is there any advantage or disadvantage to having a cat? there is a VERY slight increase in power going catless (on the level of less than 3hp). IMO though, sounds like crap, and why not throw the cat on for emissions reasons? Im all for choosing power over emissions, but a loss of 3hp to help keep the air cleaner is fine by me i thought HPT doesnt work with 2.2s? it doesnt shadowfaxss 04-20-2009, 12:55 PM High flow cat on the LSJ still kicks the rear O2 code. Calibrah 04-20-2009, 07:58 PM Does the 3 inch or 2.5 inch sound better with stock exaust? what works better? HunterKiller89 04-20-2009, 10:27 PM Does the 3 inch or 2.5 inch sound better with stock exaust? what works better? 2.25" for less than 200whp (an NA build), 2.5" piping up to about 260whp, 3.0" piping for anything larger (or any turbo builds regardless of power) 06_SIC_SS 04-28-2009, 06:41 PM id go either vibrant or clear image, and yeah the high flow cat will kick the 02 sensor most likely. From what ive heard vibrant may be the best quality but it is more expensive |
