Clutch after 154000km's of hard driving

This is after 154000km's of driving!!! GM clutches are jsut fine if you can drive properly.

this car was raced every friday for 4 months a year for 2years at the track. and is driven very hard on a daily basis!! anyone who knows me can attest to this

not even down to the studs yet...

no major wear on the pressure plate

Not really any heat scorching happening either.

i agree mine wasn't much worse than that at 55000miles, the pressure plate had two spots on it which were pretty recent before i went with an exedy stg1 and lightweight flywheel.

matt make sure you take note to reinforce the pressure plate for the clutch master cylinder on the firewall so you don't have to replace it later on.

I agree, that disc looks pretty damn good yet. Which made me ask "Why the heck would you change that clutch out?"

Of course, then I read this...

its the plate that is mounted on the firewall on the inside. your steering shaft, clutch pedal and everything else down there attachs too. and if i'm not mistaken if that pressure plate goes its about a $2500 fix. message kaiso, he had one done and would know the upgraded part number and such
