I installed my HIDs into my 2nd gen projectors today and disconnected the battery. I plug everything back in and turn on my car and my display reads "POWER STEERING" and my Traction Control light is on. I start driving and realize the car has NO torque, The car seems to be stuck in 2nd gear. It is an auto, but I cant figure it out. The steering is a little rough, but its still got power.
The speedometer stopped working and the car wont shift, it just revs into the 7ks and stops accelerating.
What should I do?

my guess would be you have a wiring issue.
best bet would be to check all your wiring and make sure that its all good. and please. PLEASE please don't drive it to redline. you're just gonna cause more problems.

No wiring was done. Just plugged in the HID's to my projectors and hooked the battery back up.

oh. hmmmmmmm
when you get warnings like that its usually related to the electrical system. when my car died a bunch of times which i suspect was the ignition, because it would just shut off out of nowehere. and show me warnings such as "power steering, or Service Airbags" which would cause the car to run with no power brakes and no power steering.
go get the car scanned.

I would unhook the hids and see if the problem goes away
And then I would go from there.
Sound like a ignition type problem,Your havent got any power going to the tranny and that is fed from the ignition and putting it into limp mod(second gear only).
You sure you didnt splice into any wires anywhere ,even before the hid install.
