I'm feeling dumb, but...

Do all LS's (that haven't been debadged by their owner) say Cobalt LS on the back of the car? I don't know what they're called...but the sheets that hang in the window at the dealership...mine says that my car is an LS, but the back of my car just says "Cobalt". I noticed this right after I bought the car but my friends just laughed at me for even noticing "who cares if it says LS on the back or not - it's a damn nice car?!"
But yeah...just curious!

If it's an LS it should have the badge on the back. Is yours an 05 or an 06? If it's an 06, then LS = base so maybe it wouldn't, but most I see still have it. If it's an 05 then it could also be a base, not an LS.

It used to be cobalt base models said just COBALT. Then the LS models had COBALT LS. Now there is no cobalt base and the LS is the base model. Maybe that's why...

My 05' Cobalt LS, says COBALT LS on the trunk lid. Did you buy the car new? If not maybe the previous owner removed the LS.

Before I owned the 2.4 I had the 2.2 base....it had no LS badges and the paperwork also DIDN'T say LS so I would talk to your dealer about that

lmao i remember the first time i went to fill up my car, like the very next day after i got it, i was at the gas station and took the wiper to wipe a little dirt off the back of the car. i move the wiper slowly and not even with pressure over the "Cobalt SS" and the a and t fell off!! I was driving a Cobl SS for a month because they had to order a whole new decal set!

Talk to your dealer. There are no '06 models that just say COBALT. Your car is either a '05 cobalt base or some '06 model with the wrong badge. have them check it out.

What's your trim on the interior? All of us baseline folks have manual locks, no power windows, I've got cruise control, but that's about it.

If it's pretty much the stripped down car, you've got a baseline.

LS doesn't mean Luxury Sedan, I had a 04 Cavalier LS Sport. That would have made it an Luxury Sedan Sport Coupe? LOL

As for LS meaning Luxury Sport, no! That would have made my Cavalier a Luxury Sport Sport Coupe. I don't think anyone bu GM knows what LT OR LS even means.

I love my SS/SC! MY first Saturday off with nice weather to have some fun in it and I did!
