This post is for the war stories section, not the local section. Most locals here dont condone street racing, we have a track for a reason

thats like saying he can post it in the general section since the race has a cobalt in it. Or post it in the LNF section because its a SS/TC that raced. But thats not the case, local is to plan meets or see whos near by, not post street racing stories.

Are we actually going to argue about this? Thought it was pretty clear how they made the sections

You mean you expect your community to say you're badass for pushing your car to 200kmph on Highway 99, and support your decision to race a Mustang on a highway? I mean, it's spectacular that you outran a Mustang and all, but it seems like a huge risk for something so pointless.

This is what I never understood about street racing. Do lives really need to be put on the line to prove nothing to nobody? 6 feet under for "putting your buddy in his place" is a hefty price to pay. </rant>

YEAH! **** THE LAW!

"About us:

Acting like a complete ******* and shooting him down because he killed a mustang isnt really needed is it. Im sure its not like he drives around racing everyday.

And dont tell me you have never pulled up beside someone and raced them 50 meters down the road. You would be lying. Why would you buy a quick little car if u cant drive it the way its supposed to be once and while?

I like the generalization that you used for Cobalt owners. My motivation for having purchased this car was primarily fuel economy while retaining a sporty look (plus the Corvette-esque tail lights). It wasn't till after I had purchased it that I noticed it didn't just look sporty, but was actually quick. I guess I'm one hell of a minority on this forum then...

As for racing 50 feet down a road, I'd prefer to race down a quarter mile in a contained environment. I'll concede that I do travel above the speeding limit once and a while, but I have never raced any vehicle over the 2 years I've owned the car. Maybe it's because I read the paper and refuse to become a statistic.

Let me get one thing straight: I can't change your opinion by beating it into your brain. I also can't bring back my best friend from the dead after he died street racing illegally. It probably hits home a bit harder for me, but the loss of a friend from something so easily preventable isn't worth enduring. I'm probably not being very "friendly" in the sense that I agree with everything you say. I'm just trying to be considerate.

I know that, I respect your opinion. I am just trying to say...we have a war stories forum on here. He didnt post it there. He should have, but you guys are getting upset at him for posting something that he shouldnt get in trouble for on this forum. Why do we have a war stories forum then anyways? People go in there an bash other people anyways. Im just trying to keep it clean and not have people at each others throats all the time for something that is aloud in the forum.

I'm pretty sure your calling me an ******* for advocating safe, contained driving was pretty out of line on your part then.

What do you mean when you say "shouldn't get in trouble for on this forum"? Are you suggesting that we support illegal street racing? If not, are you indirectly supporting illegal street racing by applauding his win against a Mustang?

I mean, it's a loss-loss stance on your part. It never should have been an issue in the first place, as you admit, it never belonged here. I think what Unlimited and I support "safety first" while others support the whole "invincibility" thing found in a lot of young adults.

If we dont condone it, then why do we have a War Stories section? I never said it was right, but why shoot him down? And BTW I never said you were an *******. I said acting.
Anyways, Im not here to start a fight. I just dont think putting down another member for what you beleive is right. He shouldnt be street racing no. But he wasnt posting it so people would bash on him. Im done with this subject.
Gratz you can beat a mustang.
