18"s and springs or 20"s?

Im getting new wheels and tires. I have a black ss sc. Go 18s and lower the car just a bit to fill out the wheel wells, or go with 20"s and no lowering? I dont wanna look like a gangster on 20"s, I would get something deep dish, maybe like msr 085 if i go 20"s. I feel like the deep dish makes the rim not look as big. Any advice?

Yeah thats what I was thinking, plus a performance issue maybe... I would like to see some pictures of cobalts with 18's, 19's and 20's that are NOT-lowered. Would all I have to do is swap out springs with sportlines? Do I need to worry about getting an alignment or warranty issues?

your suspension warranty will be voided, yes they are a direct swap, and yes youl want an alignment although some nOobs on here will say you dont need one..

20's without being lowered would look even more retarded than 20's + lowering! lol. Don't go any bigger than 19's. 19's look best on a Cobalt IMO. 18's look small to me and 20's look to big.

^^^TOO BIG! lol. You are pretty much guaranteed to bend a wheel at some point with 20's. They will also make your car slower.

Either way you go... a drop will make the car look even better. But IMO dont go anything bigger than 19" wheels

are cars are way to small for 20's. 19's are pushing it and 18's and a drop look sexy as hell

im going 19's with no drop for now, if it looks bad or just when i get some extra cash ill go sportlines or something. Im thinking of ordering the msr 088's in black.. anyone have them? will 245/35/19 tires fit with no probs?

245/35/19's will likely rub if you ever lower your car. 235/35/19's are almost the same diameter as the stock SS/SC 215/45/18's. 245's will be wider and taller.

Mine are 235/35/19's on 8.5" wide rims. https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/wheels-tires-96/%2Anew-better-pics%2A-19-stern-st6-hyperblack-wheels-168435/
