Hey guys, I have looked everywhere for some nightshade covers for my tail lights (08 Cobalt SS/TC), and seem to have no luck finding them. I see people all over this site that have them on their cars, can someone tell me where i can get some?.....thanx

 

there is no such thing as nightshade covers.

Nightshades is a spray on tint from a spray can

 

get night shades spray and tint them yourself

 

there is a banner ad on all the time for this stuff i think its nightshades.com; check the supporting vendors thread

 

they do have covers but they are not recommended btw

and yes the spray is much better and cheaper actually

i got mine at oreillys for like 12 bucks.
there are also pre tented tails you can buy, and i am not sure of the name, but there is a company that makes an actual cover but only covers the sides of the lights, not the actual circle part of the tail lights. and if you use the nightshade, dont sand you tail lights before. i messed mine up and sanded off the nightshade, and thats why mine have a flat, or matte finish.

I have seen the spray cans, but i have heard that if ur not careful u can make it look like sh_t

 

yeah you would have to me a derr derr lol
like i did 3 coats on my srt4 tail lights first try
and its hard to mess up because if you just do light coats
its dark enough so as long as they look the same youre good

read my post. they would be shinny if i didnt run the nightshade, but i like the flat look actually.

if you want the nice and glossy, take them out, hang them up with some coat hangers, and put light light coats on untill you are happy. the can says dont go over like 3 coats, but if you put on only 3 coats and its that dark, its gonna run.
just take your time.
