So this weekend coming up im heading to meet up with james and hes going to adjust my tune, fix the a/f and add more timing. Heres my last dyno results and a/f was horrible with i think 4* of timing added and no knock. Boost gauge hit 135kpa...whatever that is in psi. And my meth started at 8psi and was full at 12psi.



So if i hit 243whp SAE with the a/f being fucked up what do u think ill gain, if anything, once i get the a/f fixed and a add a few more degrees of timing.

 

253whp and 223wtq

 

im hoping 260whp but 253 is still respectful for 2.8/60/meth/he/cai

 

It all depends on the tune; Im gonna guess 250whp and 221tq, do i win a prize if im the closest

 

i have read many times on here that the factory S/C is only good till 250whp, so im going to go with Adam on this one 250whp 221 tq

 

where did u read that chris? its good to 300whp...hard as hell to get there but its possible when u have all the mods and a good tune, dont forgot i have no exhaust mods yet.

 

sheehs man your killing yourself, you need to do an exhaust mod for the better flow of all the crap leaving the car

 

oh i know. but i got so many comments on how my car sounds amazing that all u hear is the whine of the s/c and no exhaust. My buddy used my car yesterday and he went up to 5000rpm in 2nd gear and **** does it ever sound nice, thats the second time i ever heard my car fly by me without me in it. And it makes me not want to touch the exhaust. But i will sooner or later. Depending what jerren does with his header/dp i might get that and then once i get my tvs ill get magnaflow exhaust


But to get to 300 on the stock s/c i would need the following:

1. Header/dp
2. full exhaust system
3. a good tune
4. crank pulley
5. ported throttle body
6. possibly ported blower

 

i read it on the 2.0 section, that the M62 is good to 250whp, and the TVS is good to 350-400whp

 

your right about the tvs but the m62 is good up to 300hp.

 

Ya people have deffantely broke past 250whp with the m62 lol close to 300whp is achieveable, theres quite a few that have done it. . But I deffanately think youd have to go smaller then the 2.8

 

yea i was looking at the list of dyno numbers, few people have hit 300 on stock m62 without spray. I know ill go over that when i get the tvs...lol. And if i wasnt planning on getting it i would maybe go to a 2.6 and see what it does, probably get a dual pass endplate as well for the extra cooling

yea its not going to happen today. Went to talk to james today and he is busy doing a engine swap on a car. So ill try getting it done before i move. Or just sell the car...lol, just test drove a 2008 Mustang GT, damn its a nice car.
