SS intake on LS

Just wondering if a CAI made for an SS will work on my LS with the 2.2 ecotec?

won't work for lsj. intakes are on opposite sides and are different. but if you mean a 2.4 ss, yes, it will work. not sure about the lnf. lsj will not work.

2.2 and 2.4's have the same intakes. 2.0's have completely different intakes

yes it will work, you can make anything work with some modifications lol.
you would need a different cupler for the TB, the 2.2 are 2.5" the SS S/C i think are 2.75"
then the pipe you would more then likely need to cut it to make it fit and use cuplers.

you can make anything fit and work with little work, like its not hard lol.
if he can get a LSJ intake cheaper then a LS intake then all he needs to do is mak sure that the MAF sensor is atlease 8 -10 inches away from the TB then he cane make anything work.

it's a completely different design... saying that just make sure the maf sensor is 8-10 inches is very vague and incorrect. it's very important for the maf to be in the right location, not just "at least 8-10" away" of course, anything CAN be made to work, but it just wouldn't make sense for him to get an lsj intake for his 2.2. regardless of how cheap he can get it.

Type properly for Christ's sake, you own a 2.4 SS intake then because an LSJ intake wouldn't fit right out of the box.

It is impossible for a 2.0 LSJ supercharged intake to fit on a 2.2/2.4. The go to COMPLETE different sides of the vehicle. The supercharged goes to the driver side, and the non-supercharged goes off towards the passenger side.

THE SS Intake

The 2.2/2.4 Intake.

The confusion in this thread stems from the fact that GM also designated the 2.4 as SS, both intakes can be called "THE SS Intake".
