Honestly, not going to lie,
total noob with exhausts.
I want the full system,
what do i need? how much?
( car = 2.2 L 5 speed 2006 Cobalt LS sedan )
I also want to purchase a trifecta tune.

it should bolt right up if you buy a complete system.
OR you can go to an exhaust shop and get them to make you one and just add whatever muffler you want. Thats what I did. I have 2.25 in piping (dont go any bigger than that) with a magnaflow straight through muffler.

Search tool is your friend. Not to sound like an ass, but you should learn a little about your car & cars in general since you seem to be asking very basic questions. There are hundreds of threads like this on here.

and the performance boosts are the same?
even with the custom exhaust?

Yea the only difference would be that the piping wont be mandrel bent unless if you find a shop that has a bender that will do that. BUT no the performance gains wont be enough of a difference to notice.
Whole exhaust setup cost me 200 dollars.
Header was 200 also I believe and 150 to install
