tire pressure monitor problem

okay so i got new rims and new tires and my service tire monitor alarm is going off and at first i thought i could ignore it but it is getting annoying.

since the place i got my rims from went ahead and put the tires on the wheels should i need to find the sensor on the wheels of my stock rims? what do i need to do?

What exactly is your question?

Do you currently or do you not have any installed?

Yeah, obviously you didn't have the TPMS installed on the new rims. Going to have to take it back, have the TPMS taken off the old rims then installed on the new rims. That means having the rubber taken back off the new rims, then mounted and balanced again.

actually if the person doing the instal knows what they are doing you don't have to take the rubber off the rim if the right tire machine is used. i do it all the time.

Yep, break one bead loose and you should be able to get the monitors in there.

Mind you, the tire buster should have transfered them at the time the new rubber was going on. Not like the tpms is a rare system or anything, someone was not paying attention.

You will have to reprogram them as well, rematch them to the appropriate positions. Instructions are in the owners manual
