okay so you are sure you don't have a funky ass hose on your intake box right? well kn claims you get 15hp with the intake, just search what tsudo claims and add both.

can't wait to get this will it add any sound, ive already modded my airbox.

the k&n intake doesnt give you any more than 5whp but you re looking at one for the 2.4 so im not sure on the gains
and fyi the k&n for the 2.2s is the only intake that supports sai

you wont be able to find any k&n intake systems for the cobalt.. every website has them but no one has them in stock and wont have them.. good luck trying to find one

The K&n intake for the 2.4 is the same as the 2.2. The 2.2 one just has a slot for the SAI hose.

as the other guy said. don't waste your time waiting for a K&N one to become available. i waited for a month before CA told me that they couldnt get their hands on the intake that i had paid them for. so they shipped me an Injen for the same price, which should have been more. and i could have never been happier with the Injen. cold air and short ram in one box. :twothumbs

for a few extra bucks you can get a really cold air intake from ingen...

if you can find 1 used then i would do that. but i dont see spending 250-270 for a intake that is going to produce the same HP numbers and sound for more then 1/2 the price.

keep in mind the injen comes with provisions to make a cold air OR a short ram. dependant on your preference. its really the best of both worlds. you'd be better off checking the classifieds here for a used 2.2 injen. it'd really be worth it.

So since the intake you posted is for a cobalt equipped with a 2.4L engine (and you said you have a 2.2L), I don't know if it will work or not. If you have a 2.2L, K&N's filter search utility recommends: 69-4515TS

It's been discussed that the 2.2 and 2.4 K&N intakes are interchangeable. The difference is the one for the 2.2 has SAI hookup and the the color for each of them is different...one is black, one is silver.

I recommend putting an AEM dryflow on it. No need to oil it and it works just fine with the intake. I have mine set up as an SRI and there is some added oomph on the low end.

and switch to cold air setup. my shit sounds like a turbo spooling at like 3 grand. :guns:

someone said it was cause the air is hitting the adapter plate for the 2.4 mani at a certain angle so its whistling. it sounds so badass. lol

that doesnt work lol, you cant jst add them on top of each other haha. and i dont care what k&n says...15hp from an intake aint happening :lol: 5 maybe but not 15
but ya...you cant just add them on top of each other, each builds more power with each mod but each combo of mods will net you a diff gain from each mod (if that makes sense lol)

and ALL 2.2 and 2.4 intakes are interchangable lol...ALL OF THEM
also, ebay intake FTW....im making some amazing power with my engine and some awesome track times with my VERY cheap ebay intake setup...no complaints and saved money...im just missing the sticker from the name brand but i dthink i can live with that lol
