Help ASAP!!!

i was looking on this site to see where to install a tach Gauge on my buddys car and i connected the signal wire to the brown wire on the ignition coil like it said. The coil all the way on the left. now the car will crank but it wont run. power is going through the car and everything but it will just keep firing but wont run. I think it blew a fuse or something cause I heard a pop. Anybody know what could be wrong? Its a 2.4 with a custom turbo

we called autozone and they told us to switch coil 1 and 4. we did and still nothing. they said its a bad coil. So they have to order it. Anyone else know anything about their engine not starting?

Check the Inj fuse 10 amps under the hood its the ignition voltage that feds the coils.
Also unhook what you did ,and next time you work on the electrical system disconnect the battery so you dont accidently short things out.

You should have 12 v on the pink wire with the ignition turned on and car not running, if not check the fuse I stated above.

sounds like it's cranking, and you are getting spark, maybe something with fuel? check the fuel pump relay.

Also, why do you need a second tach? haha

Lol its not mine, proof is my cars yellow. lol. I had a bunch of cobalts at the house today that we were working on. He has a triple gauge pod in his turbo 2.4, the bottom one is a tiny tach with a shift light in the gauge pod, tried to hook it up and poof, car died.

Yeah, Area and myself had that issue one time too.... on my LSJ. There are 4 holes for it to slide into... but there are 6 holes in that spot. So if you put it in just wrong it won't line up right....

You'll see what I am talking about... mine did the same thing!
