BriantheLion26 05-12-2009, 04:18 PM Hi guys, Do you need to pay for another credit on HPT to flash some ones car back to stock? Once the car is unlocked you can flash it as many times as you want. ShortStack 05-12-2009, 04:19 PM Once the car is unlocked, then you can do what ever you want. But you must use the same hptuners box that it was flashed with. If it is a different hptuners, then you will need to get the credit. KillinKrullin 05-12-2009, 04:20 PM im talking about someones hpt that has never seen your car. since its flashing a stock file back on. i was wondering if there was a difference? or it doesnt care it wants money lol thanks for the speedy response BriantheLion26 05-12-2009, 04:20 PM im talking about someones hpt that has never seen your car. since its flashing a stock file back on. i was wondering if there was a difference? or it doesnt care it wants money lol thanks for the speedy response If the car is not unlocked on that box it will need to be unlocked again. 2 credits. ssyellowss 05-12-2009, 04:21 PM doesnt matter if its stock or not, in order to flash from a new hptuners box, you need to pay for the credits. KillinKrullin 05-12-2009, 04:22 PM Edit: Oh ok, was worth a shot. Thanks im dyin here, i cant get ahold of my tuner :( red06s/c 05-14-2009, 09:37 AM Bika.... KillinKrullin 05-14-2009, 10:20 AM i got ahold of my tuner, everything is cool. im getting this done this weekend. Bika 05-14-2009, 10:56 AM If you have an '06 i can do it for free. got a model year license. KillinKrullin 05-14-2009, 11:02 AM i have an '07 :( Zach06CobaltSC 05-14-2009, 12:30 PM Why are you getting it flashed back to stock? KillinKrullin 05-14-2009, 01:12 PM the blower is screwed up, big time. when it goes into boost it make all kinda of racket and wont go over 9lbs with a 2.7 on it. we took it off to put the stock pulley on it and and holy crap the rotors were all chewed and makes noise when you spin it by hand. so im thinking coupler went, and then rotors started scraping which threw the bearing off effing the rotors even more. i still have a warranty. so im gonna go that route Zach06CobaltSC 05-14-2009, 01:26 PM Ok don't forget to put the stock injectors back in :). KillinKrullin 05-14-2009, 03:07 PM lol thats what the flash is for.... so i can put the stock injectors back in Bika 05-14-2009, 03:51 PM damn. sorry to hear that d00d. Actually I kinda hope my blower takes a massive shit. Warranty is expired and i want an excuse to go Harrop:-D red06s/c 05-14-2009, 04:13 PM bill trades blowers with bika? Bika 05-15-2009, 12:08 AM lol maybe not. i need $ :( KillinKrullin 05-15-2009, 11:40 AM well if they let me keep this one that they take off. ill give the boken one so you can get a warranty blower and then we can sell it and make millions! I'm gonna give them some story about how my girlfriend wants it because shes an art major at CIA..... think thatll work? oh also i heard that they arent leagally allowed to take it because its what you bought, its yours and they are just putting a new one on. idk some one from a dealership want to chime in? red06s/c 05-15-2009, 11:45 AM i would think they would keep it. Do dealership have core charges? mattcossel29 05-15-2009, 06:21 PM I thought about doing the same for my transmission.. But Im afraid they will get all the way to my clutch and say fuck your warranty, and you have to pay us for the labor so far.. |
