Like what was said in your other thread, unless you plan on turning the car into a flown blown race car(Investing **** loads on some FI, fully build the motor, striping the interior down to the bare metal, etc) Don't even bother.
If you try to resell the car one day, almost no one would buy it cause it doesn't have a A/C.

If that 50-60lbs is gunna make you run 10s then yes. On the off chance it will not net you anything at all (for reals) I would leave it. You may want to have company inside the vehicle at some point in time and possibly want them to be comfortable.
50 lbs = 5 hp (give or take) plus 50 lbs off the front is not going to hurt the handling balance.
Like BlueBalt pointed out, if you are making it into a race car, take it out along with the stereo, back seat, interior panels, headliner,.......and kiss your resale goodbye.
If it is your dd, leave it be. Can't imagine being where you are (and how hot and humid it gets there) and not having ac.

there is no reason to remove the AC, take out your carpets or spare, leave the AC
Question - If you have 2 cars, each has 200 whp, car a weighs 2500 lbs, car b weighs 3000 lbs - which one is faster?
Would you notice 5 hp with the butt dyno? Not likely.
Would you be faster on the 1/4 mile? Driver variance from run to run will make more difference.
why? i mean really, why? 60 lbs that will kill your trade in value and also it harms the environment when you release r134a (i believe thats what it is) into the air which is what is probably going to happen when you "delete" your ac unless you have the proper tools to capture the r134a.
florida is the same way... ugh i hate it.
