these wheels/tires worth it???

alright i'm lookin at some 24.9/8/16 hoosier DOT radials. coupled with Sport Edition F10s

the tires:
Tread Width: 8.5"
Diameter: 24.9"
Circle: 78.3"
Recommended Rim: 7-9"
Measured Rim: 7"
Section Width: 9.5"
Tire Weight: 18

the wheel is just a 16x7" wheel. 42mm offset with the 5x110 bolt pattern. and weighs 17.5lbs

so. 24.9" tall and 35.5lbs. seem reasonable for $575 +/- $20 ?????

8.5 width will work on the fronts so long as you dont plan on turning much...'

my 245 tires on a 8" +42mm offset rim rub daily driving in the fronts when you crank the wheel all the way left or right. Ive tested different heights by adjusting my coilovers... unfortunately on the fronts of our cars, the front inner wheel wells curve in causing rub on the inside, regardless of ride height.

happy traction sir

well i've got 235/40's on there right now with the stock sc wheels and the hoosiers are a 225. so i can't imagine having any side rubbing, and the radials are smaller in height than the stock tires and the ones on there now

i guess i should mention these will be put on and taken off at the drag strip and for track use only

bump

height doesn't matter

it's the width of the tire that will kill you (IN TURNS)

you'll be fine using them at the track
