Question coil overs or lowering springs?

i jujst bought a 2008 cobalt ls 5 speed. it has lowering springs on it that have been cut so needless to say the ride is terrible.
should i go with lowering springs and struts or should i get coil overs?

and what kind of lowering springs/struts/coil overs would you recommend?

depends on what you are using the car for...

Then you can base your final decision off of your answer.

koni struts and progress(or any reputable brand) springs should do you good... unless you are into auto-x or road racing then coilovers might be the way to go

i think coilovers cause they have adjustable height and dampeners and if you do the sportlines/koni combo you can only adjust the dampeners...
imo they are better

thx i don't plan on auto-xing or anything like that. but i would like good handling and i probably will do some street racing once i make the car fast. i really just want it not to bounce around so much and don't want to cringe about the horribly loud thump it makes when i hit a pothole or manhole cover

but even on the softest setting coilovers are going to be way stiffer than the konis. which gets old in a dd.
