New Tires! Pirelli PZero Nero M+S

Just got my new tires today. A set of PZero Nero's because I live in New York and we occasionally get snow

I still need to make an apointment to have them mounted and balanced.

Total shipped to my door (1 business day) including road hazard protection was $629.64 from Tire Rack.

New tires:

They are W rated just like the stock Rosso's. As far as handling goes, they should be pretty comparable but once I get them mounted I'll write a review of them.

Rosso is a summer only 200 AA treadwear tire.
Nero is a All season 400 AA treadwear tire.

You give up grip and gain tread life with the Nero.

Yea I have those and have been using them all winter. WIll be putting my summer tires back on soon (stock tires with less then 2000 miles) I actually had the Nero MS's put on with snow on teh ground, and wow what a difference. I will give my final verdict once I get the summer ones back on and can do a full difference. Either way between the 2 I should have tires for the next year +

I may do those when I replace my factory tires. I would imagine the grip tradeoff is acceptable. I think this car's suspension makes good enough mechanical grip to go with a less sticky tire compound. I don''t imagine you would loose a whole lot of traction. Plus they are almost half the price of the Rosso tires.

I am hoping there will be more companies making summer high performance 215/45/R18 tires when I need to get them. Something cheaper with the same level of performance would be good.

I had the Nero M+S on my Trans Am and I thought they were fine tires and was already planning on looking into them when the time came to get new tires. MarcS, hopefully you will like them.

Digging up an old thread.

I just bought my 2nd set of Nero's. It's been over a year now with my first set of Nero's and I have no complaints. It's been over 20k miles and they are finally starting to complain at sharp turns.

Good treadlife, good performance!

Same speed as stock and I find the handling to be slightly BETTER than the Rossos in the dry and PHENOMINALLY better in the rain.

As much as it defies logic I find that the Neros grip noticeably better than the Rossos.

The Rossos are garbage IMO. They don't last long and the grip is terrible for a HPS tire.

You only got 20k out of yours?!?!?!?! I'm sitting at 20k right now and the tires are BARELY starting to show some wear. It's looking like I'll get around 40k out of mine.
