Mine have the dull look as well. I hated it at first but with time I just got used to it. Still people notice them and are surprised, "Wow Brembos on a cobalt" hehe.

They do look pretty dull even on a new balt but like it has been said, nothing a little caliper paint can't take care of.

Cheaper probuction. It's like there is no paint on them when you compare them to STI brakes but hey, they're still Brembos.

True, but if you bought the special edition Sti it came with they same flat black finish so not to be to bling bling gold like the regular Sti's...

That is why I powdercoated mine on my 09 G5 GT as soon as I bought the vehicle. They look like a paint job and all I ever do is wash them when I was my car.

They are dull because there is no clear coat on them. If you want them shiny, go get some clear and spray them. But if you ever took notice to EVO Brembos, they look like ass because the clear comes off. They all do it so I think it is genius that they left them flat on the Cobalts. And just for the record, you should not paint your Brembos. You people are ricers at its best. They're Brembos! Leave them alone.

GM scratched off some of the coating when installing the wheels. The Brembo calipers look aluminum, so it is more likely they used some type of paint like Alumahyde. I wonder where I can get some touch up for the Brembos. There are like 2-3 marks that reveal the shiny metal and it'd be nice if I could cover it up.

I agree that the Brembos should have been red from the factory. Red is the racing color for Italy, IIRC, and it is used on other Brembo calipers.

My wife is a stay at home mom so I just put my G5 on jackstands until I was finished with the powdercoating of the calipers.

Mike The Powder Coater does all of my stuff for me at www.thepowdercoater.com
