lol i cant believe they didnt just pay the extra SMALL amount of $$ to have them painted red black or gold.. Compared them to my 350z and they just look so dull.. but still WAYY better then regular calipers
That is why I powdercoated mine on my 09 G5 GT as soon as I bought the vehicle. They look like a paint job and all I ever do is wash them when I was my car.

I want to paint mine, but Im not sure what color yet....my car is Imperial Blue metallic, Im not sure what color would look good with that.
Did you personally powdercoat them? What did you use?
haha +1. I get it all the time too. I even got it from the tech at my local dealer who was doing warranty work on my car....

They are dull because there is no clear coat on them. If you want them shiny, go get some clear and spray them. But if you ever took notice to EVO Brembos, they look like ass because the clear comes off. They all do it so I think it is genius that they left them flat on the Cobalts. And just for the record, you should not paint your Brembos. You people are ricers at its best. They're Brembos! Leave them alone.
GM scratched off some of the coating when installing the wheels. The Brembo calipers look aluminum, so it is more likely they used some type of paint like Alumahyde. I wonder where I can get some touch up for the Brembos. There are like 2-3 marks that reveal the shiny metal and it'd be nice if I could cover it up.
I agree that the Brembos should have been red from the factory. Red is the racing color for Italy, IIRC, and it is used on other Brembo calipers.

My wife is a stay at home mom so I just put my G5 on jackstands until I was finished with the powdercoating of the calipers.
