Got my SS back in December and have been in love with it ever since. Still a joy to drive and I have already washed and waxed it more than every other vehicle Ive ever owned combined! I started doing some minor visual mods to it and it has become a bit of a hobby/addiction. I already get lots of looks when I drive through town, and cant wait till I start decking it out with Hahn parts and a tune. not liking the emblem or the shifter at all..ehhh!!!! But if that's your style then more power to you

 

not diggin the shifter but everything else is sweet, the Antenna is FTW.

Thanks for all the feedback! The shifter did not turn out as good as I had hoped, but I spent a lot of time drilling, molding, painting, and wiring it so I just had to install it! I can always put a new one on later if I get tired of it.

Im also thinking about installing red LEDs under the dash on both the driver and passenger sides. There is a lip that would hide all the wiring. Anyone try this? Im thinking it would look good @ night.


I have not had a chance to rip with it yet, as I just installed this yesterday. Normal shifting feels so much smoother though. Im not sure if this is because of all the internal parts I removed, or just because the shifter sits up higher now. Im really glad I got rid of that annoying reverse lockout though. Also the shifter now acts as an armrest when Im sitting at lights!

My shifter made it alot easier to get through the gearbox because of the new height. But how do you get rid of the reverse lockout?
