Improvement for aftermarket euro headlights
I recently installed the euro headlights for my black LS. They went in rather easily, but after they were installed there was something that didn’t look right about them. The headlights had a white outline around the black painted interior headlight housing that was caused by the overlapping clear lens of the headlight. I took them out and painted everything not facing forward and that solved the issued. Basically, the headlight lens has sections of it that extend beyond the sealed fixture. I painted the back of this so that on the outside it is gloss black. Since the car is black, the painted overlap matches the car and makes the headlights look seamless. I would guess that if someone was installing these on Cobalt of a different color that if they painted the back with the matching color it would have the same effect. The aftermarket euro headlights have similar parts as the OEM, but they don’t seem as durable so I don’t know how long they will last. They do look good though. That’s why I kept the originals. Anybody else had issues with these?

You could have bought these.. http://www.turbotechracing.com/productcart/pc/viewPrd.asp?idcategory=5618&idproduct=5107

They come with the outside housing in black, not that fugly white color, which I agree, looks horrid on a black cobalt.

No, I know. I painted mine myself, I'm just saying those have the black housing, which I kind of wish mine did.. I might paint them like the OP mentioned.
