Cobalt SS body kit for my LS?
Cobalt SS body kit for my LS?
Whats up guys, I drive a 06 cobalt LS, and im not too big on the performance aspect of a car as much as I am the exterior, so I was wondering, I wanted to get the cobalt SS body kit, does anyone know where I can find them? And around how much they will cost? any answer will greatly be appreciated thanks. (dont really care about the sideskirts, just the front and rear bumper)
SS body kit on a LS = fail. You're not a SS so don't try to be one. Not trying to hate on your car, but if you're going to dress it up, find another body kit out there or boost it.
Welcome
Where in NC are you at? We have weekly meets for East Coast Cobalts, at Circuit City in Jacksonville NC...That might be subject to change!
Ill have an SS kit for sale here soon, sport red tint coat color. If your willing to wait a while , I have to get my after market kit painted first. I would recommend going aftermarket anyways though!

If you're looking for options as far as where to get it, try gm or ebay. There's always someone that's selling a body kit for your car on ebay.
I was looking at doing this a while back and the best price I found was at gmpartsdirect.com, it was like 800ish there and my local dealer wanted 1050 for it. It's for the "ground effects kit" that is.
You didn't specifiy but:
Coupe Kit in Red but if you click "accessories" at the top and then build your car from there then you can get the kit you need. You can see the pics of it on another thread found here https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/appearance-48/official-body-kit-thread-35286/
Good luck

To the OP I got all my parts from the classified ads on here or other cobalt forums. If you can find the parts used its much cheaper than getting them from the dealership but FYI you will need the SS rear bumper that it is slightly different from the LS and if you try to attach the rear lip to the LS bumper it will overhang into the wheel wells about an inch on both sides. The is however the option of hacking the lip down to line up and several members have gone that way. Also you will need new liners to make everything match up correctly but it can wait. You will just have to cut the molded mud flaps off of the front to fit the side skirts.
x2 ss/sc kit is the best for our cars
and its ridiculous to say ur posing just cuz you would have an ss/sc kit on ur ls

I have the SS lip on my LS and there is a perfectly good reason for it. First, As stated by others its the best looking lip kit in my opinion. The other reason is for show purpose. The SS lip kit are factory parts and thus will not throw you into the higher classes at the shows. I am not trying to impersonate an SS that I am going for more visuals and eventually plan to turbo my car. I constantly get questions about what model it is because people around me know its not a true SS but like the look of it.
