Hot Rod Tour in Metro Beach

I-94 was jammed up right up to Exit 236. I had no idea why until I managed to get home and check the Internet. Apparently GM Performance Division is hosting this initial event. It looks like they have time and money to satisfy a bunch of people and their hot rods but not enough time to release a professional LNF upgrade kit for the Cobalt SS/TC.

I saw a bunch of Camaros (old and new) in traffic, along with some Mustangs. I saw a few 2010 Camaro RS's, it's a shame they settled for a V6 when they should have waited for the SS.

Nonetheless it seems odd that so many people from all over the US/Canada would drive here in the middle of the day on a Tuesday to be part of this.

It was susposed to be at the GM Tech Center, but the last minute hey backed out due to the current state of GM. The press would find some way to create a misleading topic for the front of a newspaper.

I'll be there next year, even if I have to daye the day off.

Wow, if it was at the GM Tech Center, all of the local roads would be backed up like heck. It was bad enough that they jammed up I-94 for nearly 4-5 miles, but the local roads in that area were jammed as well.

I saw a few hot rodders try their luck with side streets. It's a shame they are risking their nice rides on the horrible SE MI roads especially during construction season.
