There are many stock internal TVS cars, you will be fine on that. As long as you have some self restraint to not try and push too much power, the stock pistons hold up just fine.

With any power adder (Tvs, turbo swap, nitrous), it's the ability to make more power that can cause problems, not the power adder itself. A car that is properly tuned, with good supporting mods, an attentive driver that knows the line between pushing the car and abusing it, will last a long time on stock internals at high power levels. People that don't know what they are doing or don't care can blow up a stock bottom end with the M62.

75k miles
stock engine, sans valve springs
stock clutch

i think the stock motor is just fine in handling the power.

the 2.75 will overpower the stock rings after time goes on.

I'm intrested as well. And Area if you don't mind I wanted to ask a few questions.

1. Are you running meth?
2. Do you ever worry about the engine blowing because of a meth malfunction?
3. I am running meth, but I am unsure if I shoukld run more timing or just leave at as a supporting mod... what do you think? Is there anything more I need (see my sig)?

Also anyone else that wants to chime in.

Sorry not to thread jack, but I'm in the same boat I have the TVS on my kitchen table....

[/QUOTE]

Well obviously I am modding it.... but if I don't run timing wouldn't the meth just aid in the longevity of the engine?

And If I do run timing can it be tuned so that, say the meth fails, and there isn't too much timing the engine would be fine?

And I know your opinion is **** it pull as much timing as possible.... but this is my daily driver so I want it to be reliable as possible...

So seriously any thoughts?

Haha well thanks for all the info....

And I love the Hahn back. I think it will work nicely with the TVS. I lost some power with the M62 cause its 3". But I'm sure it will benifit me once I have the TVS on.
