So my car has been in the shop since January because of my accident the story, and after dealing with all the dealership's crap about it not being ready yet, I finally get it back last friday. Tonight I hit a pot hole and my air bag light goes off. DIC says "service air bag soon" but no air bags deployed. WTF?!??!?!?!?! Anyone know if its safe to drive? I don't think the air bags will deploy or anything, but I don't want to fu*k it up. I'm taking it back to the dealership Monday morning kicking and screaming.

 

I'd DEFINITELY get that checked out, as it can be VERY unsafe. One of two things could potentially happen, neither one good:

1. Your air bags deploy if you hit a pothole.
2. Your air bags DON'T deploy in an accident.

you just got your car back and your already out hitting pot holes man i dont think its safe for you to drive...move out of the way of those things man...

 

you shouldnt even be driving from the sounds of it.
