what is everyone boosting with the stage 1 kit? my mods are in my sig and i got to 15 psi and stay there. is that normal?

Yeah i get to 15 maybe 16. winter i was runnin to 17 right after i installed it but think that was just the cold air

I call bs on the + there, up to 17 is normal, unless it is negative 50 degrees. I hit 17 on gm stage 2.

boost is a restriction, you dont want that. airflow is what you want. a byproduct of increasing airflow into an engine with a blower or turbo is pressure. in an engine, restriction is created and thats what causes pressure, or boost.

that being said, boost with X pulley depends on the rest of the mods. having a cat, after market cat or no cat will change boost pressures, same with header and exhaust, sizes. if you had a ported head and intake with the same pulley vs unported you would have less boost, however the same amount of airflow.

i top out at 17.5 which really surprises me. I have vibrant header dp with high flow cat and 2.5 catback ottp exhaust. Im not sure why im seeing so much boost on my ottp stage 1.

less pressure would equal less heat, so in theory yes, but its not going to be noticable between, say, 16 to 17lbs, at least not in our small motors.

ok so i just got done installing my header and downpipe. now i am barely pushing 12.5 psi?!?!?!?

exhaust has alot to do with it. on stg2 i was at 16 all day with stock header dp. when i went to CA v2 and 3" catless went down to 12.5 w/ no whine. now that i have a cat its back up to 15.5. put on 2.9 and went back to 16

i was at 12.5psi on stock pulley as well as with stg2 2.9 and header, 3" catless dp, and catback. it was at 16psi over the winter, approx 15degrees, on same setup but with cat and today when i went wot in second i only hit 15psi or so, 85degrees out.

changed to say 2.8 not 2.9^^^^

well i did a full 2nd gear pull. hit 13.2. it was 67 outside. still seems low to me. what do you guys think?
