I have not heard very good things about the Intense Stage 3, one member is even selling his on eBay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...ME:L:LCA:MT:31

Also check out this thread https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/show...ntense+Stage+3

I would get the GM stage 2 kit with a warranty.

A raised rev limiter is the ONLY benefit. GM pulls alot of timing and really richens things up a bunch. If you guys are extremely worried about warranty, go with a stage kit. If you understand that you've got to pay to play, and you understand what modding a car actually means, lastly you want to go FAST, then go aftermarket. By the way, a clutch is NOT covered under warranty, no matter what kit you go with

Yes, Rob's car made 270whp with just this kit over stock. PM Fast06SS and talk to him about what's on his car, you'd be surprised! He really doesn't have that much done, and he just ran 12.94@106 mph.

LOL! I just noticed your sig: Nice!

I know that Intense Stage 3 is great, but I woudln't go as far as stating that. GM Stage 2 is nothing less of awesome. Remember Intense Stage 3 doesn't get the 7000rpm redline, and it runs a smaller pulley to get those numbers. I think the when I put my 2.8" pulley on my Stage 2, it'll keep up or beat the Intense Stage 3. Just Stage 2 alone is badA$$!

I am in now way stating that Intense's Kit is bad. It makes good power, and they are the first SS/SC to hit the 12's on here. Credit is due where it is deserved, but to get into the 12's a 2.6" pulley had to be used as well.

A 2.6" pulley would have to be used on a GM kit as well to reach the 12's. I believe that once INTENSE has PCM access, they'll probably sell their kit's with tuned pcms, but that's just an assumption, I have no proof and I'm not affiliated with them. The kit came out way before the Stage kits and gave the people who couldn't wait and wanted to go fast and alternative. I will be running the same setup as Robs at IDD, and I even plan on getting a stage 2 flash, just for the 7K redline. But I'll still have to use a maf-t or similar to lean it out and dial it in. If you are impatient and have to have the 7K redline now, but want INTENSE power, buy a GM Stage 1, then put a 2.6" -2.8" pulley on with it, plus the plugs. (Remember you can't go below a 2.8" pulley without a machined snout). Otherwise I will say that PCM access is close, I'd wait a little while, do an INTENSE kit with a custom tuned PCM, and you'll be better off.

There are many ways to make power, and I believe everyone of us has different ideas of how to do so. I'm just glad that there are options for people now. I'd love to attend that IDD for some friendly competition, but it's to far from here in Charleston, SC. I love my GM Stage 2 kit and don't regret purchasing it at all, as I'm sure those with the Intense Stage 3 kit love theirs. It all in great fun and modding! Let's keep the power coming, and enjoyment alive!

I agree! So, when you gonna put a 2.6" pulley on there?

I'll put a 2.8" on there and dyno it after I dyno the 3.06" GM pulley first. We'll see about the 2.6" sometime down the road. I like to take baby steps to ensure reliablility.

I thought you could go as low as 2.6 without machining the snout. I know the 2.7 works fine without the snout being machined.

A 2.7" is cutting it close. Close enough that I personally wouldn't risk it rubbing the snout-that would be bad. You definitely cannot run a 2.6" or a 2.5" on the stock snout, that is for sure.

The snout is what your supercharger pulley is on. You can fit down to a 2.8" pulley safely on your stock snout. If you want to go smaller, you have to get a "machined" snout, that's grounded down a little to accept smaller pullies. Go to http://www.intense-racing.com to see it.

Yes, if you bought this one, it would replace your current one. The entire supercharger can come off in 10 minutes, so the install should be easy.

I believe you can specify which pulley you want when you order it. Yes they make a difference! You gain lots of torque with the 2.6" pulley over the 2.8" as well as gain some horsepower.
