Pick up a nail in te tire today

And then drove on it while it was low. The worst part about it is that I wasnt able to tell it was low when driving on the highway. I had the sun roof open, windows down, and bad reglion comming out out the speakers. It was the passenger side rear tire. The car should no signs in the way it handled.(not that i was doing anything but normal highway driving.)

But once I got into town I could her it thump a little bit and pulled over. Now, it wasnt compleing flat. But it does look like there was some damage to the side wall.(small cracks)

This stinks.

I hit a nail on the way to the mall once. Sears refused to patch my tire and wanted me to pay $300+ for a new rosso.

I went to a tire shop and they patched it for $8

bring it to a local tire shop, theyre usually pretty honest (well the one by my house is) about telling you if you can still use the tire. i know the puncture from the nail can easily be patched, but i duno what the deal is with the cracks

Same happened to me 5 days after I bought my SS/SC. It did feel a little funny a couple times I changed lanes, but it was extremely windy that day, too, so I figured it was just the wind blowing me around. Got home and saw that the driver-side rear was completely flat. The bumper had turned completely black from all of the rubber coming off, and yet there wasn't a single scratch on the rim, just rubber residue that washed right off. I called every tire store in town and everyone said they would have to order directly from Pirelli because there weren't any local wholesalers with stock in that size. So after only 5 days and 200 miles with my car, I had to stare at it in the garage for 3 weeks until the new tire came in.

I dunno about you, but mine came with a donut in the trunk . . . it sucks, but it's better than not driving it.

err?? A plug patch is your best bet, but there is nothing wrong with them. You can still drive at highway speeds. The only thing I wouldn't patch is a motorcycle tire.

a patch is the only safe alternative to a minor tire puncture, unless its on the tire wall, then a patch cant be done
a PLUG is not safe at all, thats probably what your thinking of
you can drive with a patched tire at any speed you want...you do know they patch them from the inside right?

Hapened to me on Saturday. But my puncture was on the front right, inside tread, right by the inner side wall. Dealer said they will not plug it. Going to run me about $178. I have the SS/na 06. But what made it worse, the spare tire was had 2 small slits in it, like it was seperating from the tire. Remeber, the spare tire is a firestone. hahahahaha. So the dealer switched it out. So watch out for a recall (maybe) on the spare tires.
