magnaflow high flow cat

I just bought a Megan cat back and was wanting to put a magna flow hugh flow cat-converter on at the same time. The Megan piping is in between 2.25 and 2.50 in diameter. My question is so would I need the same size cat converted as the megan piping or what? I'm keeping stock headers and downpope for now due to no money :P thank everyone

The cat would go where your existing cat is now.......so it would have to be welded in on the stock down pipe. Wouldn't make a difference in the catback as it will bolt to the stock downpipe flange.

ok, so it's welded to the downpipe? I didn't know that... Would it have to have a 2.25 inch or the same as stock

yes its welded onto the dp. and as far as i know it should be as close to stock DP size.

which may be hard to find because of the small size of the stock dp. not to mention that you'd just be wasting money in getting a high flow cat on a 1.75" piping.

http://www.car-sound.com/02product/universal/530.asp

thats the only one i could find that might work.

So then probably wait on the high flow till the headers and a bigger dp. Ok that'll work I didn't know it was welded but bolted on. Thanks guys that saved me some money

technicly you can put a cat where ever you would like... it would just act as a resonator on the exhaust...
