stage 1 w/2.8 dyno results

Hey guys just letting you know that I did 245 hp with 220 tq the a/f was perfect mid to high 11's at 6800 rpm I think the reason it wasn't 250 was the temp it was 89 with 20% humidity damn florida. A little upset that it wasn't more but with a little work maybe a 2.7 and a header we will see 260. Also guys I have the injen cai custom 3" exhaust engine and tranny mounts short shifter and spec stage 2.

that torque # is key. that and the broader powerband given due to the recalibration and increased redline. the car should be a lot faster even though the peak power isnt increased as much.

makes me even more anxious to hear that the smaller pulley dynos safe a/f's... UGH CANT WAIT UNTIL THE SUMMER when my cash flow is no longer negative =]

Congrats! Do you have the sheet you could post? I would like to compare it with mine so we could see the difference in the torque curve....

not bad. I still plan on running the stage 2 once it is installed with a 2.9 and 2.7

My Stage 1 is coming in tommorow and I've got the Intense kit right now. I'm selling the injectors in the GM kit and using the Lucas 42.5lb/hr ones.... I get my flash done tommorow at 12:30. I'll be running the 2.8" pulley, might be using the MAFT but not sure if I'll need it. I was hoping to see a bit higher numbers, considering the higher redline and the Intense kit is supose to put out 270whp. But the tourque is what matters the most.

I am very surprised you are running 245hp. There is a GM stage 2 w/injen cai dyno report on here that shows 250hp. The pulley in the GM stage 2 kit is a 3". Why is a 3" and a 2.8" pulley running the same hp?
Here is the link https://www.cobaltss.net/forums/show...t=stage+2+dyno

yeah, but compare the tq between the stage 2 with 3.0 and stage 1 with 2.8. It's only a 5hp difference too, and considering it was 89 degrees outside, that could easily make up the difference.

see what im thinking. buy stage 1 and get a 2.8 pulley. then buy the MAFT and u have the best of both world of intense and GM. should be good for 260 whp from stock. right?

well the intense is usually around 270 with a 2.8 ... I would imagine that with a raised limiter and some extra tuning from the MAF you would see greater gains than 270

we wont know till BlackSS/SC shows us

the difference could be a number of factors. temperature and humidity, different dynos, different dyno calibrations, 3rd gear vs 4th gear. we dont have it but what would have been great was a before and after (of course) with the same dyno and calibrations in similar elements.

but in all honesty its hard to compare dyno #;s to dyno #'s when were talkin 10-20HP.. i mean if you had 500hp and i had 200hp then i would be pretty confident that you would have a tiny bit more power then me but those factors absolutely can make dyno numbers vary.

hay glockglade where did you dyno it at?? we need to hook-up cause i'm getting the stage 2 from GM, and i want to dyno my car before and after. i'll get stage 2 for x-mass, i know a long time to wait but it'll be worth it, cause of the other things i'll be getting then (I/H/E), and my boy steve @ crane cams said thay will have cams and gears by then, so...LOL

Exactly!! Well excpet for the 3rd/4th thing that has been shown to be false on here to like 2 hp.

Everyone needs to get off the dyno hype. Yes dyno's can be very accurate and consistent, Rob has showed us this with his modified intense kit. However, that was at least the same car in the same part of the country. Here we have at least 2 different cars in 2 different states and people are trying to draw conclusions, thats just retarded. Everyone on here is too worried about bragging numbers on a stupid chart. Like most people on here understand dynos are for tuning and nothing more....

I agree with this!! I want to see the difference in the curve not peak numbers. I could really care less about the peak numbers. My guess is the curve will be alot flatter than the dyno of my car.

There is NO WAY we could ever compare numbers even with the same mods. You are right retrop! There are too many factors involved.
