did i get skeeted?
did i get skeeted?
sooo i went to a tint shop today to get my friends civic tinted....ive been to this shop before and they have always done a pretty good job but theres usually one or two small things they messed up on, like a tiny airbubble or whatnot...but they do it cheap for me since ive got alot of cars tinted there before.
when we got his civic tinted everything looked great except the back window...looks like ****, some parts are peeling but they said that would stick when it cures, which i believe but we'll see. next the civics 3rd brake light is behind the window and it goes up against the window so the tinter tried to cut it out and he did alright on one side, but the other side you can see the light coming through because its not 100% covered.
now the part im wondering if he lied to me about. on the bottom corners of the back window, the tint dosent cover it, just like a little 1 x .5 strips on both sides. he said this is because a "factory defect in the glass" and its common in hondas (and another brand but i dont remember what kind) he said there were small "pivots" in the glass in those spots and the film WILL NOT stick to it at all. but honestly, it looks the exact same as the rest of the window....
anyone else ever have any experiences like this?
