I heard from family friends that shell puts water in there Gasoline's not knowing if it's true or not that's what i've been filling up with what does everyone else fill their tanks with?

i get the best results from shell... i dont think thats true.

My car must love water then. I get crazy knock from BP fuel (happened more than once, so I know its not just a bad tank), and Mobil is too expensive in my area, so the car loves Shell.

yeah i'm not that gullible i think someone doesn't know which gas to put in their car and probably put higher grade than supposed to but i'll keep looking around. I like shell just wondering what others think.

NOBODY waters down the gasoline. Not only is that illegal, but it's also a myth.

Shell is also top tier rated so their gasoline's are of the highest standard.

You can't mix water with gas... it won't mix!!... It just separates.

Only time you will get water in the gas coming out of the pump is if their underground tank is very near empty and has not been cleaned out in a very long time or if you fill up right after (or worse, WHILE) the tanker is refilling the undergraound tank - it stirs up all the crap and condensation that collects in the bottom which is then free to go up the pipe and into your tank:thumbsdow
If you pull in for gas and the tanker is just leaving, might want to try somewhere else or wait a few hours.

Shell (or any other major player) has far too much too loose and far too little to gain by doing something like that.....

Shell puts nitrogen in some of their gas, but this won't hurt your car at all

the two best gas stations are shell and chevron cuz the tecron(how ever u spell it) and nitrogen do the same things

i never had problems with shell bp or citgo...or anywhere that i can think of but if its not 93 i wont fill up there, pet pev of mine i guess

Shell gas is good gas, but the gas jockey at the shell by me is a real weirdo and I don't appreciate him touching my car so I go to the petro canada down the road. they take debit at the pump too.

ive only used shell for the length of my car uless i CANT and then i put just enough to get ot one :lol:

You CAN NOT mix gas with water! It will not mix on a molecular level. Go back to basic chemisty.

places like wa put ETHONAL into the gas at up to a 10% mixture

I always buy my gas as costco on the way to work. I heard they used BG but I have no idea.

all gas stations have water in there gas...used to work at a shell back in the day there is a read out that tells u how much is in there but it settles to the bottom and fresh gas is pumped out of the top of the tanks...but dont get gas if a tankers there stirs the shit up lol
