Question What would be ideal air/fuel ratio's on a turbo ecotec?

I've been reading that at wide open throttle that 12 would be good for a turbo car but then other people tell me that ecotec's are a little different than most engines and that they need to be richer than a 12 at WOT. What is the real deal on that? Also what should I tune my idle at? Right now it jumps from 14-19 at idle and light cruising. Then at WOT right now its going as low as 8. Just trying to figure out where to tune my a/f ratios at.

If you are going to turbo your 2.4, then 12 will be too lean (depending on mods of course). If you are just putting a turbo with an air to air cooler I would guess you probably need to keep the AFR a little higher, probably around 11.0 - 11.5 or so. However, having it tuned and playing with it is the only way to find out what the best AFR will be.

yeah the car is already turbocharged but with a less than ideal tune. My afr seems to be all over the place. Alot of my WOT is all the way in 8's 9's and 10's. Its also got an extremely rough idle and i dont know if thats due to the 60 pound injectors or if that can be tuned out to be a smooth idle.
