TC going off and engine redlining whle driving...

I am in Germany right now but my bro is borrowing my car..

Got phone call and guess what? It's at the ******* dealership cuz of this bullshit...

Apparently the engine redlines whenever you hit the gas at all and it doesn't do it all the time. Only sometimes. (Which leads me to think it is electrical somehow.) And the TC system goes off right before it does it...

Any ideas on what it is?

It's a 2006 2.4SS Auto btw....

EDIT: Talked to him again. I gues he described it wrong or something before. but now he is saying that it wasn't redlining by itself, it just wont shift until it gets to like 7000 rpm. which is ******* retarded also..... but not as bad sounding...

So you mean while you're driving the car will all the sudden redline? Sounds like the clutch is fuxored.

Honestly, i dont know what exactly is happening. when i talk to him again I will get a more coherent explanation, he was kinda being a jackass cuz i was pissed as **** at him...( I have been driving the car for 8 months and nothing was wrong with it, he drives it for two weeks and it is completely fucked somehow)
I think it is understandable that I am mad at him cuz he also has a history of driving like hooligan....

but from what i understood that is what is happening.... It could be completely wrong though.. lol

Might be a faulty PCM or ECM. It could be transmission related (if he's doing neutral drops or some ****) but it sounds like the module is failing to engage the transmission in time for the next gear. Just my .02 I could be completely off...have him ask the dealer to check if it has thrown any codes in recent days.

Yup he fried the clutch on an AUTO ....

Hopefully its stil under warranty and will get fixed. Not sure of the problem tho since the auto electronically controlled there could be any number of things wrong. Make sure it gets fixed and STOP LETTING HIM DRIVE YOUR CAR.
