Ever since i've gotten my SS/TC i have never been so approached by as many little rice rockets revving there engines pulling up next to me etc.. I'm not one whos gonna try to full out street race you in your dodge neon with a 6 foot high spoiler. I was leaving bayers lake today and pulled up behind this older cavalier (i'm just driving normal) and they start to basically rev there engine and keep looking behind to look at me, even the driver was staring me down in the side mirror. He has this big fart can muffler that sticks out a foot past the bumper, and a spoiler thats taller then i am. Of course when the light turns he turns up the juice and as hes driving infront of me keeps looking behind to see where i am. Like duh, i'm not driving around to street race, and even if i was i wouldn't waste a ticket on a shitty ass car like that. I just find it so funny that theres these cars out there that think everytime you come up to the light its like a drag strip.

No i have a low profile, i'm not ragging on the high rise spoiler at all, as long as it looks like it belongs on the car (ex. cobalt) Just some of these look ridiculous on these little cavaliers. I just find it a great laugh.

 

what you do is pull up next to them, look over and nod so they think you are going to race.. then start normally and watch them take off like an idiot and possibly get a ticket for reckless driving

when im in sackville driving around alone im only putting along at 40 km/h lol

 

i have had the same problem dude. always some honda or sentra or something gay. and i have the low rise

 

I've got the same problem. Drives me nuts. Some people just are not that bright.

Same here, i have the same problem all the time....People driving by me and reving at me...I have the low rise as well

 

ya but alot of the hondas around here are running 150-200 shot of spray....
plus alot have the K20 in them now too

 

it's ur spoiler, remove it and see how many do it.

 

This happened to me when I passed a Malibu SS on the interstate yesterday.

 

I only got a g5 gt and even i get harrassed by ricers. I guess its a young thing or something. I had this little punk in his saturn tail my ass up lucasville Rd lastnight. I could hear his gay ass fart can. I purposely slowed down then he finally backed off. I mean in the right situation a race every now in then is kinda fun but the way the popo are around all the time it just isnt worth it for me.

 

My neighbor did that to some honda at a light. The honda pulled up beside him in his TL, and revved the engine at him. My neighbor saw a police car up ahead in a parking lot or something so he revved his engine then when the light changed took off normally. The honda squeeled off and got pulled over shortly after lmao.

Neighbor is in his 50's which is even more funny.

 

Ever since I got my Camaro I get the same thing. Like duh, you really think your fart-can civic or Integra RSX can beat me!? I do love when they come beside me and rev their engine. I rev mine and they stop pretty quick, lol!

 

A Acura RSX Type S could more then likely take the Camaro.
i know a guy in the valley he has a blue one with tons of carbon fiber on it most painted so you dont see it and on the dyno in 4th gear he put down 210whp, all motor.

 

thats pretty much what they come stock with....around 205 so he must have an intake and exhaust

 

actually that motor is only 193whp to the wheels

i know another guy who has a rsx type s thats turboed and at 6psi he only made 206whp

Maybe its just where you live. I have yet to be approached by anyone trying to race me.

The RSX may be fast, but not faster than an LT1! I'm still not sure what I'm doing yet as far as headers, and turbo for my engine or dropping a TPI LT1 in it. I did however smoke an RSX (wasn't a type S) on the highway and I was in 3rd gear.
