18" SS/SC Rim! Help
Well, to make a long story short.. My passenger side rear rim is messed up. I went to the dealership and they want $699 for 1 rim. I was going to get it repaired, but they wanted $200+ just to paint match, not counting their attempt to fix the rim (small gouges.)
Does anyone know where i can pick up a single 18" SS/SC rim cheaper then 700 freaking dollars?
I know others have damaged rims, so there has to be a better route then the Stealership.

Well you know you could get a whole set of aftermarket rims and tires for the price that Chevy wants to charge you for one wheel. Just my opinion but it would be a good time to upgrade to aftermarket.
Try a wheel specialty shop.
I was actually out at my dealer today, asking about scuff marks on my factory rims, that were there when I picked it up. The guy was saying that they don't actually repair or paint wheels they send them out to a shop that does only wheels, its easier and faster for them to do so. Thankfully getting my factory rims refinished is under my warranty.
He said those scuffs happen sometimes with shipping, they'll have an insert in between the wheels and sometimes, it scuffs them.

As we speak I have my car in at the chevy dealer getting wheel refinished. I bought car a week ago Saturday and told them that the wheel was bubbling. They said they would order a new wheel. Friday they called me and said no new wheel that I need to bring car in so they can repaint it. I get there and the body manager says they can't paint it it has to be sent out. 1 guy says it's powder coated another says painted. I asked just order a new wheel. They looked it up and says they come in unpainted and they have to be painted anyway. Now I drive their rental car and Curly, Moe and Larry will do something with my wheel.
www.wheels-and-rims.com they are refurbs, but its only like 278 for one..... check it out
i wish they were powdercoated, they are painted, i sent one rim out and its slightly glossier than the rest now, gonna try to get all of them doen now which should of been the case from day one.
