Brake brands?

For those of you with aftermarket brakes, what brands do you use? My rotors are all sorts of warped, so I figure now is as good of a time as any to upgrade the rotors and the pads. As of right now, I'm thinking of rocking an EBC setup, but if there are any other options out there, I'd like to take a look before I spend anything. So...what are y'all running?

Powerslots and Hawk HPS pads here, with FTP stainless lines. A significant improvement over stock. Dont get drilled rotors, stick with slots and/or dimples. Drilled rotors can crack under stress. DBA makes good rotors I hear, but I cant speak from first hand experience.

EBC rotors and EBC pads, OR Power Slot rotors and HAWK pads are 2 great setups.

Definitely leaning towards the EBC stuff. Slotted dimpled rotors, so I don't have to worry about the cracking. Just want to see what else is out there before I spend an ungodly amount of money to stop my otherwise bone stock 2.2.

Brembo or DBA rotors are excellent, best on market IMO, I am also a big fan of Hawk pads, I would recommend Goodridge hoses over the FTPs.(yes Ive used both)

Also if money is an issue I would go with good(Hawk) pads and a basic rotor as opposed to cheap pads and good rotors.

FYI, Brembo dropped their "OEM" replacement blanks they offered about 1-2 months ago... No more from them

I tend to agree with Maven on selecting a 'name brand' however many of the rotors out there are truly coming from the same importer and foundry. I know of one large company that markets the same rotor under three different brand so I'd not look to pay a premium price for fancy packaging. The part will be the part. And as has been discussed before; you won't get 'better braking' from one brand to the other- they're all the same size so there's no real performance gain.

And his suggestion for Hawk as an oe replacement is good advise. A pretty good base performance pad that's affordable and durable.

I got the R1 concept rotors and hawk pads, awesome set up. I did the drilled and slotted, unless you bought cheap drilled and slotted rotors, you would really have to beat the **** outa your brakes to crack the rotors. I go to the drag strip weekly, talk to many of the racers and TONS of them use drilled rotors, not even slotted, just drilled, on 8 second dragsters. From street cars to full built race cars, theres many who run drilled and slotted rotors without issues.

Ive made a number of passes on this set up and not exacly easy on my car when driving it, and not a single issue. After about 15 passes on the stock setup, the front rotors were warped to hell.

Beg to differ my friend. What makes your drilled and slotted rotors different than any other drilled and slotted rotor on the market? That would be about zero.

Nothing wrong with the product and being happy is key. Just understand you cannot change the end result when exposed to the same conditions. Everyone of them is subject to the same thermal expansion problems.

My FB post related:
Rotors. There are drilled rotors and non drilled rotors. There is no such thing as a "good" drilled rotor. You cannot undo thermal expansion problems. But I'm happy to sell you either one....

I'm with Maven on the Goodridge hoses. I haven't switched to stainless lines on my TC yet, but I've had good experience with Goodridge in the past.

As for drilled rotors the problem is small cracks forming around the drilled holes under high thermal cycling. Might not be a problem for street driving, but if you go to track days very often it will come up.
